Enjoy city centre based Michael house which has many delicious options, including eggy bread or bircher muesli. Coffee lovers should visit Hot Numbers who roast their coffee beans from sources around the world. More places for breakfast in Cambridge here.

Time for tea? Be sure to try Fitzbillies who have been serving fabulous cakes in the city since 1920. They are famous for their Chelsea buns which are sticky, sweet and just delicious. You can get some beautifully gift wrapped to take away with you which you must definitely do.
Even on a chilly day, find time for Jacks Gelato who make fabulously flavoured ices. Easily the best in Cambridge The flavours change daily and are exciting, they include more classic ones like mint choc chip through to salted treacle.

Pit stop lunch? You can’t beat a burger! Steak and Honour are a local gem and also centrally based. This independent burger restaurant serves quality burgers and sides, including the classic, riverside beef, brioche bun, lettuce, onion, gherkin, French’s mustard and Heinz tomato ketchup.
Or perhaps some slow, fast food from Smokeworks ? We can highly recommend the mac and cheese fritters. Here you will find pulled meat choices and sharing platters. Tasty veggie options also available. Try the Smokeworks Tap next door for a pre or post burger drink also. More places for the best burgers here.
