The ethos is to create ‘classical dishes really well’ and this is reflected in the menu which includes dishes including fish and chips and a really great roast. A main course lunch costs about £15-17 here which is great value for a pub that is in the country’s top 50 gastropubs 2022!

The Wrestlers Pub:

As the first pub to serve Thai food in Cambridge, freshly cooked, delicious food can be found close to the city centre at The Wrestlers Pub. Choose from tasty curries, soups, stir-fry’s, noodles and lots more. The monthly rotating selection of cask ales is also worth stopping in for.
The Plough Fen Ditton:
Green End, Fen Ditton, Cambridge CB5 8SX
The Plough. is a great venue for really good quality food and drink. You will find that there is plenty of choice and the service is equally as good as the food. Just under 3 miles from the city, why not have a lovely walk to build up an appetite for your meal at The Plough? Book in advance if possible.
The Clarendon Arms:
35-36 Clarendon St, Cambridge CB1 1JX
The Clarendon Arms is a great cosy pub, loved and adored by many locals. Good honest food, lovely atmosphere and really friendly service.
The Crown and Punchbowl Horninsea:
High St, Horningsea, Cambridge CB25 9JG
Part of the Cambs Cuisine group, you know that you are in safe hands for great quality food and drink at The Crown and Punchbowl in Horningsea. Modern British & European food is offered on their regularly changing menu. Pie of the day is hard to beat!
The Three Horseshoes:
High St, Madingley, Cambridge CB23 8AB
Another entry for the Cambs Cuisine group, The Three Horseshoes is based in Madingley, about 4 miles from the city centre- another excuse for a long walk! For a hattrick, further from the city but another Cambs Cuisine offering is The Cock at Hemingford.
