MJP is not just a top quality Cambridge restaurant but also has great rooms at a really great price. The newly refurbished accommodation is light, airy and well decorated. They have king sized beds with quality linen and plenty of comforts to make you feel cosy. Based in the village of Fen Ditton, you are under 3 miles by foot into the city so this a great choice of location. Eating at the restaurant is highly recommended. Superb value. Rectory Farm Country House Hotel:

The grand building of Rectory Farm Country House offers plenty of choice for your wants and needs and is just a couple of miles from the city. It is situated in 2 acres of gardens and surrounded by parklands and fields so a tranquil choice. The chalet double rooms, which are in a separate building to the main house, are well decorated, bright and have king sized beds, Wi-Fi, en-suite facilities and meadow views. A great choice for a break to the city.

The Waterman:

As the title of the ‘cosy rooms’ suggests, the rooms are beautifully ‘cosy’ with a double bed, funky artwork, en-suite facilities, T.V and Wi-Fi. Book direct to get a complimentary breakfast. For a little more space and a king sized bed, opt for the comfy double.

The Norna:

Newly renovated The Norna boasts a smashing location with its CB1 postcode only a few minutes’ walk from the train station. Just a few miles from the city centre, Madingley Hall may be a conference centre rather than a hotel but offers bed and breakfast accommodation in luxury campus accommodation style rooms. University owned, rooms have views over the woods, gardens and courtyard, and are basic but comfortably furnished. The hall itself is beautiful and set in 7 acres of gardens.

Anstey Hall Hotel:

Just 2 miles from the city you will find Anstey Hall Hotel within its 12 acres of grounds. The budget rooms are located in the stable block annex rather than the main Grade 1 listed building and are great value for a weekend getaway. The rooms are well decorated, light, have king sized beds and everything else you need for a comfortable stay.

Cheap chain hotels in Cambridge:

Premiere Inn:

Premiere Inn in Cambridge is quite a modern build so rooms are clean and comfortable, with everything that you would expect from a budget hotel of this type. The Newmarket Road hotel is close to the Mill Road and the Grafton Centre, and within walking distance of the city centre.

Travelodge:

One of the 3 Travelodge hotels (Cambridge Newmarket Road, Cambridge Central, Cambridge Orchard Park) will offer a budget friendly choice for a city centre getaway. Rooms are clean and tidy with the standard layout and features of the Travelodge group.
