go to‘ celebration destination and each and every visit has been full of awe and wonder for us. Restaurant 22 has a strong following (no surprises there!) and is increasingly popular so book well in advance. You are able to choose from the a la carte menu but why would you want to miss trying as many of the dishes as possible? Try the tasting menu and be blown away! There is a private dining room seating 12 upstairs for larger groups, in addition to the beautiful Victorian dining room downstairs. Terrific value food for the quality. The chefs work directly with local growers and producers to create a menu based on the food available locally. It also happens to be completely vegetarian. An inventive, forward thinking restaurant, serving top quality, delicious food. The matching drinks packages (of 4 drinks) can suit all needs as you can choose an alcoholic, mixed on non- alcoholic package. The alcohol free drinks, change with the seasons and are as inventive as the food – equally as delicious too, for example a chilled pear and celery tea. Midsummer House by Daniel Clifford has been serving wonderful food to the good people of Cambridge for many years. High quality food in a setting that will make you feel super special. A must try when in the city. Try the tasting menu to experience the range of must try dishes from this established restaurant. The set menu includes a glass of Krug champagne, canapés, set menu of choice, water and coffee or infusion with petit fours. No vegetarian or vegan tasting menus available.
MJP @ the Shepherds:
5 High St, Fen Ditton, Cambridge CB5 8ST
The tasting menu experience at MJP is slightly different in that you are able to create your own by ordering a selection of the plant based, fish and meat small and large plates. The talented staff will then group your choices into course for you and you can sit back and enjoy. Chef Mark Poynton, of former one Michelin star Alimentum, uses the finest seasonal and local ingredients to create these tasty dishes. Go hungry and try as many of these wonderful plates as possible!
