Bedford Lodge spa

A spa day is one of my favourite ways to spend time with loved ones. It is the perfect way to get together without having to get dressed. A whole day in a robe is blissful. I recently had the pleasure of visiting the spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel with my family. We booked the ‘all about me’ spa experience, costing £95 per person. This included; use of spa facilities, a 35 minute treatment, lunch, and a bag and slippers to take home.

The facilities:

Bedford Lodge spa The facilities at the spa are beautiful. They really set the scene and make you feel pampered. The hydrotherapy pool has jets to target those achy muscles while the heated poolside seats are a great place to relax and lounge.

Thermal facilities include a sauna, steam room, and an ice shower! We didn’t brave that one.

Bedford Lodge rooftop

We spent hours of our day enjoying the rooftop area. Relaxing loungers and a hot-tub made this the perfect place to hang out, chill out and catch up. Cosy blankets completed the experience.

The treatments:

The package we booked included the choice of a 35 minute rasul or dry floatation treatment. Most of us chose the dry floatation which was blissful. Enveloped in the floatation bed, all my tension melted away as I zoned out and became weightless. Truly relaxing. My mum enjoyed the rasul which involved her self applying cleansing mud to her skin, then entering a private steam chamber. Both options are fabulous!

Lunch: afternoon tea

We upgraded our lunch to afternoon tea at a small additional cost. We loved the good quality sandwiches, scones and cakes and took it al ‘fresco as the weather was good. Generous, tasty food in beautiful surroundings.

Bedford Lodge spa sliders and a bag, to use and take home, completed our experience. We had a wonderful day at the Bedford Lodge Hotel spa. The facilities really are excellent and the spa is spotlessly clean and luxurious. Robes are fluffy and thick and the surroundings are decadent and tranquil. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. What’s not to love? A fabulous spa day.
