I recently had the pleasure of visiting the luxurious spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel in Newmarket with a good friend. The award winning spa is steps away from the beautiful Bedford Lodge hotel and has excellent facilities to enjoy. A day here will make you feel truly pampered. Here are some of the reasons why we loved it.
Our spa day package:
Our day included use of spa facilities, a 60 minute massage, a one course lunch, and a bag and slippers to take home. The changing facilities are top quality and there are ESPA products in the showers which made me very happy as they are amazing and cruelty free!
The facilities:
The facilities at the spa are beautiful. They really set the scene and make you feel pampered. The hydrotherapy pool has jets to target those achy muscles while the heated poolside seats are a great place to relax and lounge, overlooking the beautiful gardens.
The weather was fabulous when we visited, so we spent some of our day enjoying the rooftop area. Relaxing loungers and a hot-tub made this the perfect place to hang out, chill out and catch up. Cosy blankets are available for chillier days but we didn’t’ need these.
Chilled drinking water is freely available to keep your hydrated. Thermal facilities include a sauna, steam room, and an ice shower! We loved the ice experience having braved it during our visit to Paus.
Treatments: 
A 60 minute ESPA massage was part of my package which was tailored to my needs. The fitness oil was perfect for my tired and tight muscles. I was invited to inhale this first with a steam bowl, then the oil was massaged in to my skin. My massage included feet, scalp and hands so really covered the full body experience. Super relaxing.
Lunch:
We ordered a sharing platter as a lighter option for lunch. We did however follow the platter with tea and scones for good measure. The lunch was tasty and the perfect amount for us to be able to get straight back to those great facilities without feeling too full.
Bedford Lodge Spa:
Bedford Lodge spa sliders and a bag, to use and take home, completed our experience. We had a wonderful day at the Bedford Lodge Hotel spa. The facilities really are excellent and the spa is spotlessly clean and luxurious. Robes are fluffy and thick and the surroundings are decadent and tranquil. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. What’s not to love? A fabulous spa day.
