I recently attended a family wedding at the Old Bridge Huntingdon and couldn’t be more impressed. The setting is beautiful and the staff extremely flexible and friendly. Hold your civil ceremony on the premises if you choose too. They have clearly fine-tuned the order of things and guide you with their experience to make the day go without a single stress. The covered outside area means the worry of the great British weather is also taken away from you. Great quality food and setting.
Madingley Hall:
Another stunning backdrop is Madingley Hall close to Cambridge. The wedding packages are comprehensive and offer plenty of flexibility to make the day exactly as you wish. The hall is now licenced for civil ceremonies. Invite up to 110 guests here to enjoy the historic setting, hall, terrace bar and grounds.
Swynford Manor:
Close to Newmarket, Swynford Manor is perfect for those wanting an indoor or outdoor civil ceremony. Choose the study for up to 100 guests, or perhaps choose to take your vows under the pergola surrounded by nature? How romantic! Weddings here have exclusive use of the grounds complete with mature trees and open lawns, a luxurious honeymoon suite and 12 beautiful guest bedrooms.
The Old Hall Ely: 
Privately owned wedding venue The Old Hall is set just one mile from Ely in stunning countryside. The hall is family run so offers the personal touch, priding itself on being exclusive, creative, flexible and personal. If you get married here, you have exclusive use of the hall and the grounds for the day and overnight through use of the luxury honeymoon suite and guest bedrooms. With views of Ely Cathedral and lakeside scenes, it is a truly magical setting. Choose to have your ceremony in the Oak Garden Pavilion with views over the lakes, or in the cosy Great Hall with its open fire.
Westminster College: 
Located in central Cambridge, Westminster College is brimming with historical charm and romance- a great choice for wedding venues in Cambridge. Think sweeping staircases and a grand dining room in the grade 2 listed building. The venue is able to host larger weddings, with up to 120 guests for the wedding breakfast and 300 for an evening celebration. There are 38 guest rooms to hire on your special day. You are able to get married in the Chapel which is owned by the United Reformed Church. *therefore wedding ceremonies or other forms of blessing in the College Chapel may need to be approved by the Principal. Wonderful food an a super romantic venue.
Willow Grange Farm:
Working farm Willow Grange offers a sustainable option with plenty of flexibility. All food is locally sourced (much on the farm itself) and the venue is family run with loads of rustic charm. The Sperry tent can accommodate 120 guests and the venue is licenced for marriage and civil ceremony. Choose from the Silo Barn or The Oak Pergola for 150 people. This is a cool venue and guest can stay by hiring Shepherds Hut, lodges, a Safari Tent, or Lotus Belle Tent. Think glamping as opposed to camping, as many have king sized beds and plenty of comforts. For those not loving the glamping vibe, solid rooms are coming soon!
The Garden Rooms at Chilford Hall: 
The Garden Rooms at Chilford Hall can accommodate weddings of 40 to 170 guests. Choose to hold your ceremony under the oak gazebo, or indoors if you prefer. The Garden Rooms are licenced for weddings and civil partnerships and the surrounding landscaped areas are ideal for some beautiful photographs. The wedding planning service is thorough and flexible, making your special day as personal as possible.
Bassmead Manor Barns:
If the dressing up element of a wedding if your thing, consider the facilities at Bassmead Manor Barns. Located close to St Neots the venue was built specifically with weddings in mind. They boast a Bridal Boudoir with excellent lighting, mirrors and dressing table space for the perfect surroundings. The civil service takes place in a rustic charmed filled barn and boasts twinkly lights and stacks of romance but with the all important mod-cons. Fabulous outdoor spaces too and great food.
South Farm:
Royston based South Farm is situated in 20 acres of Cambridgeshire countryside. The venue has an eco-friendly ethos , and strives to give you the perfect day without impacting on the environment. The organic smallholding supplies ‘field to fork’ produce, which is prepared by excellent chefs. Other fabulous extras include the on site farm with adorable rare breed animals to enjoy on your special day. You have exclusive use of the venue for your wedding, therefore have plenty of space to relax with your guests. Guest staying the night can choose from gorgeous bedrooms or the quirky Romany wagons. Licenced ceremonies are available inside and outside. A beautiful venue.
Sheene Mill:
Located in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire, Sheene Mill will be exclusively yours for your wedding day. The venue is extremely romantic- choose to say your vows in the 400-year-old flour mill or outside in the wedding pavilion with views across the River. The interior décor is beautifully shabby chic, the food fabulous, and the accommodation a touch of luxury.
